#artpause Billboards to Debut Across Canada

ArtMoi’s ongoing project, #artpause, is debuting nationally across Canada! Throughout the month of July, you can expect to see #artpause billboards popping up just in time for summer road trips.┬áCanadian artists Peter McConville, Randolph Parker, Sean William Randall, and Andrew Valko will have select works amplified to massive proportions for the billboards. Pieces from the installation will be installed in and near Montreal, Ottawa-Gatineau, Toronto, Winnipeg, Calgary, and Vancouver.

The project intends to provide relief from the excess of advertising we have become accustomed to in our lives. We spend an extraordinary amount of time in our cars, commuting, with very little time to take a break to enjoy some art. The #artpause project allows us to bring art to the masses in a creative format in unexpected places.

To be sure you won’t miss any billboards that come to your area, follow ArtMoi on Instagram (@artmoi) and Facebook (/artmoi.me) for exact locations as the billboards are installed. If you happen upon a billboard, take a picture and post it to your social media page of choice with the hashtag #artpause! Billboards will also be mapped out for the entire world’s viewing pleasure at artmoi.com/public.
